Applications for the 2022-2023 school year are no longer available.

 

The lottery for the 2022-2023 school year will be conducted on May 13, 2022 at 9:00am for NYC Autism Charter School East Harlem and on May 13, 2022 at 10:00am for NYC Autism Charter School Bronx. Both lotteries will take place remotely via video conference. Student Admissions Lottery Information 2022-2023

Lottery

The lottery for the 2022-2023 school year will be conducted on May 13, 2022 at 9:00am for NYC Autism Charter School East Harlem and on May 13, 2022 at 10:00am for NYC Autism Charter School Bronx.

A family may apply to either NYC Autism Charter School East Harlem, NYC Autism Charter School Bronx, or both.  If you choose to apply to both, you must submit an East Harlem application AND a Bronx application with duplicate sets of required materials.

Applications for both schools for the upcoming school year lottery can be downloaded from the links below and mailed in or you can apply online HERE.  The application submission deadline is April 1, 2022. A complete list of all required materials to be submitted with the application are included in the application materials.

If you would rather that materials be sent to you, please email our Operations Manager at:  csecharan@nycacharterschool.org or call the main office:  212-860-2580. The NYC Autism Charter Schools are ungraded. Parents of children whose birthdays fall between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 are welcome to apply.

 

Preference is given based upon the following criteria in the following order:

  1.  Children who have a primary educational classification of autism and/or a medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and who are the sibling by birth, adoption, or parental marriage of a child who is currently enrolled or gains admittance via the lottery AND share a residence with that student;
  2. Children with a primary educational classification of autism and/or a medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) AND who reside in Community School District 4 for East Harlem or Community School District 12 for the Bronx;
  3. Children with a primary educational classification of autism and/or a medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who reside outside of Community School District 4 for East Harlem or Community School District 12 for the Bronx;
  4. Children with no confirmed educational classification of autism and/or medical diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who reside in Community School District 4 for East Harlem or Community School District 12 for the Bronx.

 

All students, however, regardless of age, diagnosis, and district of residence may apply and will be considered.

 

Lotería

La lotería para el año escolar 2022-2023 se llevará a cabo el 13 de mayo de 2022 para la Escuela Autónoma Autónoma de Nueva York East Harlem y el 13 de mayo de 2022 para la Escuela Autónoma Autónoma de la Ciudad de Nueva York.

Una familia puede presentar su solicitud a cualquiera de las escuelas autónomas de autismo de NYC East Harlem, NYC Autism Charter School o ambos. 3. Niños con una clasificación educativa primaria de autismo y / o un diagnóstico médico de trastorno del espectro autista (ASD) que residen fuera del Distrito Escolar Comunitario 4 para East Harlem o Distrito Escolar Comunitario 12 para el Bronx;
4. Niños sin una clasificación educativa confirmada de autismo y / o diagnóstico médico de trastorno del espectro autista (ASD) que residen en el distrito escolar comunitario 4 para East Harlem o el distrito escolar comunitario 12 para el Bronx.

Sin embargo, todos los estudiantes, independientemente de la edad, el diagnóstico y el distrito de residencia, pueden solicitarlo y serán considerados.
